In March of 1913, a weather event was unleashed on the communities in Southwestern Ohio's Miami Valley. It was the most devastating of its kind in the area's recorded history, but it would also bring about one of the most creative engineering projects of the early twentieth century. This film documents the disaster as it affected each of the nine cities in what would become the Miami Conservancy District. Produced in 2013 to commemorate the 100th anniverary of the flood, this one-hour documentary features photographs, rare film and first-hand accounts to tell the story of the tragic event and the innovative flood prevention plan built in its aftermath.
