Library Journal Review
K-Gr 2-These picture-book biographies are accessible to newly independent readers, the youngest researchers, and ESL students. Both have double-page spreads with a black-and-white photograph on the verso and a few simple sentences on the recto. The pictures enhance the readability of the texts by providing a window into the worlds of their subjects. Ford's life is described from his birth in 1863 through his death, including his creation of the assembly line. The Wright brothers and their invention of the gasoline-powered glider are given similar coverage. Easy-to-understand and interesting accounts.-Anne Chapman Callaghan, Racine Public Library, WI (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
